Ultimately Google has launched its 2 step verification method for all Google (Gmail) account. Today, I enabled this featured and feeling very relaxed, now no more tension of getting Google account hacked.
What is it all about?
It provides you access to Google account after 2 step verification. You need to enter your password and then your verification code which will be sending to your verified mobile (read below how to verify). It also give you option to remember your detail on this computer for 30days so that you won’t get annoyed on each login.
What is advantage?
If someone guesses your password, still he cannot login to your account on other computer. (Except your verified computer for 30days).
Additional backup option
So, Google is considered every possibility and convenience of user. In case you lost your mobile phone then how will you login to your account? To salve such problem, it give you backup option in 2 way – by adding a secondary phone ( use of your family member) and a onetime usable code in case you lost both mobile.

How to use?
Visit this url- http://google.com/account/ and login with your Google account.
On your account page you will get a link like this one- Using 2-step verification (under personal setting). Click on this and follow the steps. It will guide you step by step how to use and activate 2 step verification methods.
Using desktop application
If you are using any other application with your Gmail account like- Google talk, outlook, mobile Gmail etc, then you need to create one time Application-specific passwords. You will get the relevant details on your account page.
